The Scaly Thrush (little tiger thrush) is around 26~29 cm long and is an uncommon resident bird. Among them, two groups are listed. Scaly-thrushes are significantly smaller in size than other Scaly-thrushes. It is potentially one size smaller than a wild-pigeon, according to observations.

The lower beak, however, is almost entirely black, and the brown plumage on the back is darker than most Scaly thrushes as well.
